FAQ
How far in advance should I book?
To ensure I have your preferred date available, I recommend inquiring as soon as you can, or have the venue booked.
Once the quote is shared, I'm happy to place a 72 hour 'soft hold' on your date to give you time to review. The booking deposit and signed contract will guarantee your date/time is held.
For micro weddings, proposals, receptions, showers and other gatherings, 3-6 months in advance is ideal.
For personal brand sessions, 4-8 weeks in advance is ideal to schedule our kick off strategy call, and coordinate studio space and source props.
However, if you have a specific date in mind, don't hesitate to reach out—I might have it available!
What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
In the event of cancellation on behalf of the client, I will work with you to reschedule the date of your session.
Note: The 50% booking deposit, due at the time of booking, is non-refundable.
You can be sure I will work with you from the start to identify a backup location or rain date in case of inclement weather.
Do I get access to the raw, unedited files?
I do not share the unculled, unedited files as is the industry standard.
Every package includes both my shooting, curating and editing expertise. I do not offer packages without editing at this time.
To ensure my style meets your needs, let's hop on a 15 minute call to discuss your vision.
I'm not photogenic and will need all the help posing. What's your approach?
First of all: I used to think I was not photogenic (who am I kidding, I still do some days!). I completely feel this.
Know that first and foremost: You are in a safe space, and are with your biggest hype person! Rather than poses, I offer prompts that consider movement, the fabric of what you may be wearing and lighting. If any prompt doesn't feel organic to you, we'll have a good laugh about it and move on!
Can the proposal photography coverage be done in under one hour?
Having captured many proposals over the years, I only offer coverage for one hour minimum for the following reasons:
1.) Reduced Pressure: Immediately following your proposal, your fiance may feel overwhelmed. More time allows for you both to feel more relaxed, which means more genuine shots without the pressure of a tight timeframe.
2.) Comprehensive Story Coverage: One hour of coverage allows for a comprehensive proposal story, and a diverse set of images in your final gallery.
3.) Unexpected Delays: Life, parking and traffic can happen. The hour does include a 'buffer' window for you both to be late due to an unforeseeable event.
